A creative tech writer?

Hi, I'm Anete.

I don’t know how I got here, but, as it turns out, I’m pretty good at writing content. And my clients seem to agree.

With a background in tech journalism and a passion for the latest tools, I bring a unique blend of expertise and creativity to every project.

Perhaps not your conventional writer, but I will get the job done.

What’s the story?

An immigrant who followed a dream. A Criminology grad-turned-SaaS writer (plot twist!).

There are many ways I could intro myself.

But honestly, I’m just someone who loves creating and learning something new (like coding or paddle boarding), cat-sitting, working out, and exploring with my camera in hand.

I’ve never been one for building a 6-figure business; I simply want to love what I do for a living. I’d say that’s a pretty good dream.

More than just a writer

Ask two writers what their title means to them, and you'll probably get two totally different answers. My take? It might surprise you.

For me, being a writer isn't just about stringing words together—it's about being a creative problem solver, a tech geek, and someone who connects ideas and people.

What makes me a bit different?

  • I'm a photographer and visual thinker, so creativity is just part of who I am. This creative spark lights up my writing and client work, bringing fresh ideas to the table. (I like to call myself a 'creative tech writer,' if that's even a thing).

  • Once, when asked to write a test article about AI automation, I didn't just write—I built a whole multi-step automation workflow. It showed off the product's cool features and my tech know-how all at once. (They still didn't hire me, though. Go figure!)

  • I'm a Notion ambassador. I'm a bit of a nerd for tools like Notion and have created resources for other businesses while using it myself to simplify, automate, and make sense of all sorts of info.

  • I love getting hands-on with clients' resources, like software templates. It's the perfect mix of product knowledge, user feedback, and creative thinking.

  • Sometimes I feel like an industry matchmaker. I've built up a network of experts across different fields, which has led to me connecting the right people at the right time to kickstart their projects. (I'm still an introvert IRL).

Okay, what else?

  • I've got a keen eye for improvements. Bugs, user experience hiccups—if I spot it, I'll let you know.

  • Wore the community manager hat for a no-code client. We put their users front and centre, and guess what? They loved it.

  • Took HTML, CSS, and JavaScript courses to get the tech side of things, perfect for my no-code client work.

  • Right now, I'm geeking out on UX design. It's all about making microcopy pop and giving users a smoother experience.

What am I working on right now?

  • Co-building Handl, a way for powerlifters to connect with handlers around the UK.

  • My newsletter — all about giving you a 5-min visual detox from industry emails. No work talk, just art and adventures.
